As per the Town Road Use By-Law, a Road Occupancy Permit (ROP) is not required for certain types of work. Based on your selection, an ROP is not required. It should be noted that it is your responsibility to ensure the parameters of the work(s) you are planning to complete fall under one of the exempted works in the By-law.

Please note, as per the Town’s Road Use By-Law, an ROP is not required for the following work(s):

- Installing, maintaining or relocating a pole line
- Raising or lowering utility service boxes, where no excavation is required
- Work on shut-off valves where no excavation is required, except for repair that takes place within the travelled portion of the roadway or sidewalk
- Initial work in new subdivisions
- Emergency Repairs
