2026 Temporary Patio Program — Step 1: Eligibility Application

The 2026 Temporary Patio Permit program will commence on June 2, 2026 (following Council approval) and conclude on October 12, 2026. The program is open to sidewalk-fronting restaurants in the downtown core.

This is Step 1 of a two-step application process:

• Step 1 (this form): A quick eligibility check. Tell us about your business and what you're proposing. No fee, no documents required.
• Step 2 (sent after Step 1 review): The full application. Site sketch, Certificate of Insurance, conditions acknowledgements, and signature. The $500 permit fee is paid later, after the patio passes inspection.

The Office of Economic Development will review your Step 1 submission and, if your business is eligible, send you a link to the Step 2 application. Submission of this form does not grant permission to construct a patio.

You will receive a confirmation email indicating that your Step 1 application has been received.
