4800 - Gymnasium Cleaning Checklist

All Staff must wear the proper PPE when completing any of the outlined cleaning tasks. Replenish supplies as needed. Contact Recreation Programmer or Recreation Coordinator for any questions.

1. OPENING
- Get keys from lockbox
- Check equipment for cleaning/safety concerns and clean if needed
- Check bleachers for garbage/hazards
- Sweep floor and bleachers using dust mop treatment
- Wipe down windows
- Check cleaning/first aid supplies and restock if needed
- Prop open gym doors
2. BETWEEN PROGRAMS
- Wipe down all used equipment
- Sweep floors and bleachers using dust mop treatment
- Put equipment away in correct place
- Organize storage room
3. CLOSING
- Wipe down equipment with disinfectant
- Put equipment away and organize storage room
- Sweep floors and bleachers using dust mop treatment
- Wipe down windows
- Put garbage in larger bin outside gym doors
- Restock cleaning/first aid supplies if needed
- Lock gymnasium doors
- Return key to lockbox
4. PICKLEBALL (before and after)
- Wipe down posts
- Wipe down nets (plastic touch points)
- Wipe down paddles
- Sanitize pickleballs (ongoing throughout activity time)
- Wipe down ‘sanitized bin’ and ‘used’ bin
5. BADMINTON
- Wipe down posts
- Wipe down nets (plastic touch points)
- Wipe down racquets
- Wipe down birdies (ongoing throughout activity time)
6. BASKETBALL
- Wipe down basketballs
- Wipe down ‘sanitized bin’ and ‘used’ bin
7. FLOOR HOCKEY
- Wipe down floor hockey nets
- Wipe down floor hockey sticks
- Wipe down sport specific balls
- Wipe down ‘sanitized bin’ and ‘used’ bin
8. FIRST AID
- Take inventory of First Aid supplies
- Replenish supplies if needed
